Rules for the written tests

Every year 6 Structure of Matter 1 written tests are planned in the following months: January, February, April, June, July, September.

To access an oral test, each student is required to first pass a written test.

Each written test consists of 4 structure-of-matter problems, loosely similar to those discussed during the exercises classes, and to those of past tests.

Students can pass the written test by solving correctly at least two (2) of the 4 proposed problems, within the 2h30 allowed time.

Correct solutions in excess of 2 problems are useful to increase the final score (by up to 2/30) above the oral score.

All records of successfully passing a written test expire after 12 months.
